Spend a Day with Arizona’s Historic Riches
(and Some Memorabilia for the Not-So-Rich)

If you think nothing tells an area’s history better than digging through piles of old photographs, browsing through collectibles and searching through the jewelry that adorned the necks and

earlobes of western women of the past, the Globe-Miami area’s antique shops are for you.

Spend the day tripping through the remnants of the past, pausing only to grab lunch at one of the areas many delicious Mexican food restaurants and other local dining establishments. (You can find fantastic Mexican food restaurants throughout the south central Arizona area.)

Start on antique alley, otherwise known as Sullivan Street, the street that runs parallel to U.S. 60 through Miami (coming from Phoenix, turn left a block). Don’t forget to hit the shops on U.S. 60 (Live Oak) as well. A note of caution: Some of the shops are open all week, some limit their hours and days. Phone ahead to make sure.
